This Press is specially designed to compact QUAT filters into the reactor pool.
The construction of the press is designed so that there are no “pollution nests” in which to collect contamination.
The hydraulic and press components are made of stainless steel. So the maximum radiation load is 10 000 000 rad.
The hydraulic unit and the electrical switchgear form a separate unit which is placed on the edge of the reactor pool and are connected to the press via flexible connectors. It is designed as water hydraulics and is operated with deionized water.
The electrical control system is implemented in SIMEMENS Simatic S7.
The connecting lines from the control unit to the press are stored in containers provided by the customer.
For transport and storage, the height of the filter press can be reduced below 2,000 mm.
